Our customer Glen is a successful entrepreneur and recruiter working in the medical industry. Glen had just moved into his new home in Broxbourne and to make the house a home they welcomed into the world a new born baby girl. All this and the fact that he works from home had introduced a barrage of problems!
Glen deals a lot with the middle east and the time difference means he works odd hours. This coupled with working from the dining room table, not sleeping and not trying to wake the family in the middle of the night when he is working. He desperately needed a work space of his own.
Glen’s story isn’t uncommon with many people working from home with insufficient room or makeshift desks, it just isn’t working for them or the people around them.
Glen called us as he had seen our work before, and we came highly recommended to him. Glen’s main goal was clear, his company was doing well, his dreams of a new home and starting a family had fallen into place, but the last piece of the puzzle was yet to be found. He wanted a workspace outside the home. Que all garden rooms.
After a long conversation with Glen and a few cups coffee later we had a clear vision of what Glen needed. Glen was to get a luxury office that fitted his style and portray the image his company wanted to reflect.
All Garden Rooms began the project by conducting a site survey to assess the available space and to ensure that the planned garden room would comply with building regulations.
A date was set, the ground was dug the concrete poured then the garden office began. All of this was over seen by a very excited customer who took every opportunity to see how things were going. During the build Glen had a slight change of heart to the overall purpose of the Garden office as he had taken well to becoming a new dad and he wanted his wife and little girl to be able to spend time with him, so a few modifications where made, a media wall and fireplace was added along with Air conditioning and a decked veranda.
The additions gave Glen a space to unwind and relax along with the ability to spend some quality time with the family. This made Glen even more excitable, and the visits became more regular, we didn’t mind extra time with Glen especially when came with coffee and cake.
The end result was a stunning one-of-a-kind Garden office that everyone could enjoy. Glen’s productivity went up he was more focused more during the work hours, pushing his company to the next level as he wasn’t interrupted, and this had a massive flip side as he got more quality time with his family. We will never forget on the last day as Glen said, “thank you for making my dream a reality”.
Dan and Jamie, from the start to finish have been genuinely amazing, I was recommended these guys by a friend and I count my blessing for that every time I step into my garden office, apart from being the most friendly, happy and most helpful couple of guys to have working in the garden, they are extremely amazing at what they do, they have a passion and indeed a talent for building garden rooms and it really showed whilst completing mine. One of the best things you get from Dan and Jamie is that they take care of everything for you (Skip Hire, Plasterer, Air Con, Concrete and the list goes on) and give you the price from the start. My garden office room is better than I ever expected and Dan and Jamie were so thorough and wanted to make sure everything was perfect, and it was! Cannot thank them enough and if anyone ever asks about garden rooms I would 100% recommend these two and no one else. Thank you both, you have made me and my family so happy.
